I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, either short term or long term, with the aim of enabling them to live their lives more fully. Generally speaking the key difference between counselling and psychotherapy lies in the recommended time required to see benefits. Counselling usually refers to a brief treatment period that centres around behaviour patterns, whereas Psychotherapy focuses on insight and working with a therapist over a longer period.
